***Poetry I've Written*** A Few Words About Fear

***So I just wanted to add a little beginning note. I'm actually really pleased with this one. I've been in a very dark mood so it's dark and pessimistic but it's what I do best.***

Can’t help but feel there’s more you haven’t said,
Those pesky words of doubt inside my head.
Being told that I can’t hide, but I must watch you run away,
Life’s so unfair and it seems people are all the same.
So I lay trapped with memories that won’t turn to dust,
And a heart that’s so unused it’s started to rust.
Walls have started to crumble but I need them back,
Because time is coming and it’s ready to attack.
My defence is wide open so take your aim,
I’m the only one I will ever blame.

Drama queens lie and sob in the dark,
But this one will always need a spark.
The fear of being swallowed whole consuming all thoughts,
Knowing that they can never ever be bought.
Wandering away from what I originally wanted to say,
Forever scared of losing what the world sent my way.
Because I know what I want and I’m still in free fall,
The hardness of reality something I don’t ever want to hear call.
Don’t wake me if I’m dreaming,
My happiness is always fleeting.

I make my own nightmares, don’t need you to try,
Just sit and wait while my brain creates a new lie.
It loves to torment every action given half a chance,
And it always gets that because it has the power to entrance.
So take your words and heart and soul,
Don’t give them to me, my love is black as coal.
You’ll just be forced to watch the damage I’ll accidentally inflict,
A disaster zone and more awaits for this new conflict.
I’ve failed myself because I always do,
So take this promise and don’t stop running: I’ll never intentionally hurt you.

***Poetry I've Written*** Untitled 2

Can’t think of words,
As the world turns black,
Just thinking of meaningless things,
Letting them drag me down,
Into a swirling ocean of pain,
There’s nothing to hold onto,
Forever falling,
Forever failing,
Just watching my universe die.

Into the light,
Is a dream that fades away,
That’s if it ever was.
These things can never be true,
They can’t survive forever,
Too fragile to call my own,
My heart’s a broken galaxy,
That tried to silently cry in death,
But you won’t leave it be.

There’s something I know,
But I really shouldn’t,
And it’s tearing me apart,
Standing to attention,
As the world tumbles down,
Caving in on itself,
Taking control,
Taking our souls,
It’s waiting for us to end ourselves.

Sitting on the sidelines,
There’s no revolution to fall back on,
Just listen and learn,
While they blow your mind,
As space and time implode,
Is that all they have?
A world of black,
A world of nothing,
A world that broke my heart.

***Poetry I've Written*** Through the Rain

The stars shine so bright,
But what if they all fall down tonight?
Raining their light on me.
No longer impossible to see,
Burning brighter than the sun,
Could it be I’m the impossible one?

Waiting and waiting, I forget what for,
Could it be the final curtain call?
The darkness lingering, it wants the end.
Feeling the world start to break and bend,
There’s no resistance to my blackened heart,
Finding a new way of control, such a beautiful art.

Blink once, no twice, you’re secretly always there,
Why must you torment me with things I cannot bear?
Living the life of a shadow in nothing.
Impatiently feeling the moment changing.
So as you start to fade away,
Know that I had to learn to see through the rain.

***Poetry I've Written*** Take Your Aim

Feeling stalked, am I your prey?
Hurting as the words hit their mark.
Struggling to breathe, is that what you wanted?
Revenge that you're not the hero you thought.
Legs collapse, is this where you need me?
The scapegoat of your sick game.
Memories overwhelm, do you see what you've done?
Now I am broken again.

Why must you torment me?
Leave it well alone,
Or am I not allowed a defence?

Why must I keep looking?
I know what you're doing,
Do you have to keep fighting this senselessness?

I refuse to let you beat me,
Unleash your pack,
They're clueless to what you are.
I refuse to be silent,
So take your aim,
I'm here to make it easier.

***Weekly Blog Recap*** 23rd April

Again, it's been two weeks, I'm sorry!

This is pretty much the same as last time I'm afraid. The only new book is:

Infinity discovers a dark secret from her past that rocks everything she knows to be true.

A troubled 22-year-old superstar singer, Infinity has a bad reputation for drugs and hard partying. Now, she is on the road to a comeback with her controversial tour. But everything about doing the concert feels wrong from missing employees, to anonymous threats about ruining her career. She is dealing with a powerful corporation that is determined to kill her and everyone she loves. She is also battling for control of her life and career from a relationship that crossed the fine line between love and obsession. Infinity knows too much, even though she doesn't realize it. Secrets have been kept and these secrets are powerful enough to destroy her and everyone she loves.

Now she must put her safety and trust in the hands of sexy, tattooed and delicious Torch Channing and Boulder Vigari, hired to keep her from getting killed. Boulder wants to make her his. He won't stop until he claims her. Torch struggles with his primal need to possess her and his hatred of everything she represents.

Infinity is determined to protect her heart while dealing with the pressure of pulling off another successful tour without spiraling into another mental meltdown.

***Poetry I've Written*** This Battle Is Won

Happy poem is happy. Happy Char is happy. Everything is good. Let's move on from this awkward introduction... I will say that I adore this one. Definitely one of my favourites that I've written.

From the ashes, I’m ready to move on,
To take risks and be strong,
Living can never be wrong.

The pink sky heralds a brand new day,
Finally able to have my own say,
Making sure life is going my way.

Who can object? Watch me be free,
1st hand experience, surprisingly deep,
This time I’m not looking before I leap.

The nightmare is crumbling, the walls falling down,
Here’s hoping that you’re always around,
Giving me freedom to speak, this is my sound.

The world is mine to take over, this battle is won,
With him, I am done,
He was never the one.
