Follow Friday Number Something (lost count)

Follow Friday is just awesomeness. It's hosted by the lovely Parajunkee & Alison Can Read

Now this week is very special because it's the week before Christmas (Yes! Finally! I can have my Kindle! *happy dances*) but more importantly I'm one of this week's featured blogs!!! So before I actually answer the question I want to thank Rachel and Alison for the opportunity. :)

Now this week's question is:

Q: If you had to spend eternity inside the pages of a book which book would you choose and why?

Good question. Errr... I think there are a lot of books that I'd like to live in but if I had to spend forever in a book series I'm gonna be really obvious and choose Harry Potter. I like to think that I'd be a really powerful and cool wizard and that Harry would have to admit I am the greatest. (I won't lie. I'm making this up as I go along.)

Failing that, I think I'd live in the Fallen series by Lauren Kate... I could use those shadow thingies (It's been a while. I can't remember what they're called.) to jump into other books. (Technically, that's probably cheating isn't it?)

Fine! (I will get a book that I can happily stay in forever.) I will live in Alice In Wonderland! I will live there because it's a crazy world that would keep me occupied.

Okay, so choosing a book didn't take long at all... Oh, who am I kidding? It took forever!!!

So I'm a tad exciteable (sorry!) and I think it's probably a good idea to stop now. So I want to wish you all a Happy Christmas. I hope you all get tons of bookish presents and if you just leave me your blog link I'll hop around and follow you all.

Follow Friday number 6

Follow Friday is an awesome meme hosted by two super awesome book bloggers that can be found at  Parajunkee and Alison Can Read

This week's question is a toughie... once you see it you'll know what I mean.

Q. Talk about the book that most changed or influenced your life (was it a book that turned you from an average to avid reader, did it help you deal with a particularly difficult situation, does it bring you comfort every time you read it?).

A. The reason this is a hard question for me is because every book changes my life. I suffer from a form of depression called Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (I won't go into why I have that sort of depression in particular.) and I struggle to do things most people find easy, you know like going out and making friends so for me reading books is my escape, I read because it takes me away from my troubles for a while. I blog because it easier to talk about something at home where I feel safe.

I think the book that I will choose for this though is The Hollow by Jessica Verday not because it did anything special but because it was the book I was reading when I decided to start blogging this time 5 months ago. I'll even show you a picture of the book:

TA-DA! It's like magic lol.

Anyway I'm going to stop before I start blithering on about my life. What book changed your life? Let me know. Also FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER: @ShadowsIReview (I only got Twitter a couple of days ago lol.)

Have a wonderful weekend and don't forget to leave me your links new followers.

OH! While I remember! If you scroll down the page a bit... I'm hosting a giveaway! You can win a book of your choice from Book Depository as long as it's £10 or under! (That's the price of Divergent in the shops you know.)

Follow Friday number 5

Follow Friday is an awesome way to meet and befriend fellow book bloggers. It's hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read

Q. Let's step away from books for a second and get personal. What T-Shirt slogan best describes you?

A. I'm actually not sure. I do have a T-Shirt that says "No I'm not on f*****g Facebook" which is very true because I hate FB. I shall go to Google and see what they have.

A lot of people who know me say this T shirt works perfectly

But I refuse to believe that's true. Then I again I might be being biased.

Anyway... That's all from me, I'll be doing my FF rounds later. However if you leave your link in the comments new followers, I'll come follow you back later.

Hope you have a lovely weekend. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Follow Friday number 4

Follow Friday is an awesome way to make new friends and gain followers for your blog. Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read

Q. Name 3 authors that you would love to sit down and spend an hour or a meal with just talking about either their books or get advice on writing from?

A. Well my first answer is going to be pretty boring because it's J.K. Rowling, can you imagine the advice she could give you? Second I think it would have to be Lili St. Crow (author of the Strange Angels series) because that's pretty much one of the few YA UF/PNR series that I enjoy.  Lastly it would be the author of my favourite book of the year Ruta Sepetys. I loved Between Shades of Gray so much and I'd really love to talk to her about the whole story. If one of those lovely ladies turned me down I'd love to talk to Michelle Zink because she is just so sweet.

So what about you? Who would you have sitting around your table? Let me know and if you follow me please add your link so I can return the favour.

Follow Friday number 3

Follow Friday is a super awesome way to make friends and meet fellow bloggers in the blogosphere. It's hosted byParajunkee .

This week's feature is Angela from Angela's Anxious Life

So anyway it's time for this week's question:

Q. What do I do when I are not reading?

A. I blog... a lot. I also look after my mum and brother. I also have a passion for  motorsport. (No I don't know why I like watching people go around a track for a couple of hours but it's better than football.) I also spend a lot of time on Goodreads because it's a way to discover books without actually going to the shops. I love to write, it's an excellent way for me to write down how I feel. In fact I'll share one of my poems with you.

Why Won’t You Go?

I still hurt,
I’m still breaking,
You’re the reason,
I fell down today.

Why won’t you go?
Why can’t I leave?
There’s nothing here but ashes,
Soaking up the tears from my heart.

To die alone. It’s my greatest fear,
But how can I,  when you won’t go?
I’m trapped in a moment. For now and all time.
Go my love, just go.

Why can’t I leave?
You and I alone.
The memories resurface,
Choking me.

The pain owns me,
How did you guess?
I know.
You knew, you knew. You always did.

Why won’t you go?
What reason is there to stay?
You’re just a ghost. Of reality,
My dreams, they never stir.

When my world ends,
You’ll still be there,
Taunting, taunting, taunting,
Just to have a laugh.

You and I alone,
We own all the secrets,
But how do you tell what you don’t remember?
Say you remember me.

There’s a reason for this.
The madness is calling me back.
Tortured, tortured, tortured,
That’s all I’ll ever be.

Sense left me, forever ago,
The words drag. On and on and on,
It’s something. It’s nothing.
Why can’t you let me go?

So anyway if you leave your link I'll follow you back since my hand is nearly healed I'll be doing my fair share of hopping this week.
