Goddess of Partholon: An Overall Review

I personally think that overall reviews are a great way to summarise a series without having to spend an age reading loads of reviews. I like to do it as it may come in handy for someone someday. Let's get down to business.

Pros

• I really liked the premise of the original book (Divine By Mistake).
• The Fomorians are great bad guys (and gals).
• The covers really draw you into the series.
• I like the 'not suitable for younger readers' warnings on the back of the book.
• I've just run out of pros.

Cons

• The characters aren't very likable.
• The plots are slow moving and that makes it difficult to focus on the book.
• They contain some quite graphic scenes of a sexual nature.
• There are quite a few spelling and grammar issues.
• They were really predictable in places.

Best Book: Brighid's Quest

Worst Book: Divine By Choice

My Overall Rating

2 stars - I'm not going to lie, I didn't enjoy the series. I know my overall rating is low but my highest single rating was 3 stars so to be fair it's not as harsh as it seems. These books aren't for younger readers as they contain sex and some swearing (in the first three books). Needless to say I don't recommend the series.
